As an Engagement Manager, you are the trusted leadership presence for our clients, ensuring that what is promised is delivered, understood, and valued every single day. This role sits at the front line of client trust, bridging technology teams, functional SMEs, and business champions to keep programs moving with momentum and purpose.
What you’ll own (Your Engagement Charter)
Client Leadership & Presence
- Be the day-to-day leadership face of Covalense for assigned client engagements.
- Build credibility with business and technology stakeholders through clarity, ownership, and calm execution.
- Act as a trusted advisor who understands both industry context and delivery realities.
Delivery Accountability
- Own accountability for active delivery outcomes, milestones, and commitments.
- Ensure scope, timelines, and quality are tracked, communicated, and managed proactively.
- Provide clear, structured visibility on progress, risks, dependencies, and next steps.
Bridge Between Business & Technology
- Translate business requirements into actionable delivery direction for development teams.
- Bridge Covalense development teams with client functional SMEs to ensure alignment and speed.
- Simplify complex processes, technical discussions, and trade-offs for business stakeholders.
Business Champion Engagement
- Engage regularly with business champions and functional leads to:
- Review progress and outcomes
- Align on priorities and upcoming activities
- Address concerns and unblock decisions
- Ensure work stays anchored to business value, not just technical completion.
Team Leadership & Coordination
- Lead and coordinate cross-functional delivery teams of 20–30 developers, analysts, and engineers.
- Provide direction, context, and motivation to teams working across domains and technologies.
- Ensure collaboration across Product, Engineering, Data, and QA teams.
Relationship & Ecosystem Management
- Manage client relationships with business maturity and industry insight.
- Act as an ecosystem engineer — aligning internal teams, partners, and client stakeholders toward shared outcomes.
- Anticipate issues early and resolve them before they escalate.
What makes you a perfect fit
- 10–15+ years of experience in delivery leadership, engagement management, or program roles.
- Strong industry exposure in CPG, Retail, Banking, or Insurance (deep expertise in at least one).
- Proven ability to operate across functional, technical, and business dimensions.
- Experience managing large delivery teams (20–30+ developers).
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain, simplify, and align.
- Confidence engaging with senior client stakeholders on progress, trade-offs, and outcomes.
